
WCKids Pastor – full-time; Woodlands Campus
Job Summary:
We are looking to add a Pastor to our team that will be responsible to grow, manage, and oversee the ministry at the Woodlands Campus. This position will foster an environment conducive to excellence and safety in all WCKids ministry programs at Woodlands Church.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruit and inspire people to serve in the WCKids ministry.
- Ensure leaders are equipped to serve and rooms are set up for families to have an excellent experience.
- Connect with WCKids leaders weekly via phone calls, in-person meetings, and leading volunteers in group communication.
- Ensure the overall operations of the weekend are meeting all expectations.
- Oversee volunteer onboarding that sets the stage for ongoing care for each volunteer on the team.
- Maintain a positive WCKids environment that inspires volunteers and families to engage in the ministry.
- Communicate daily with campus leadership.
- Balance tasks and relational aspects of the role.
- Contribute to WCKids and campus goals.
- Lead day-to-day operations of the ministry.
- Know, own, and cast Woodlands Church’s vision to team members and volunteers.
- Â Work 4 days during the week, plus weekend services with 1 day off determined by supervising pastor. Expect 50+ hours a week.
- Available for weekend services, church events, and major holidays.
Qualifications:
- College degree or 3-5 years of experience in Kids ministry at a church.
- A strong desire to help children develop a passion for God, with a call to Kids ministry
- Strong leadership skills that are relational; team building skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- High attention to detail; strong organizational skills
- High technical skill and aptitude (databases, Office products, web & social media savvy)
- Problem solving abilities; process mindset
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt and anticipate in a creatively flexible environment
