Social Media Specialist – full-time; Woodlands Campus
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, driven, and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and community-building efforts. You will report to the Social Media Director and will be working closely with the rest of the Creative team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop relevant, original, high-quality social media content for all of Woodlands Church and Kerry Shook Ministries social media accounts.
- Assist in carrying out our social media strategy
- Actively engage the audience through private messaging responses, comments, likes
- Provide constructive feedback
- Promote content through social advertising
- Measure the success of social media posts and campaigns
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies
- Use social media tools such as Buffer, Creator Studio, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop
- Collaborate with Video, Graphics and other Creative teams on various Social Media projects
- Assist in strategically identifying and maintaining Social Media and Photo Team volunteers
- Schedule volunteers in Planning Center
- Cull through Photo Team photos and sermon transcriptions to develop future content
- Define and track social media analytics
- 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Youtube, and other social media platforms
- Experience with doing audience research
- Good understanding of social media analytics
- Photography experience is recommended, but not required.
- Experience in Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere and/or Premiere Rush CC
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs
- Experience in Planning Center
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
Qualifications
