Social Media Specialist – full-time; Woodlands Campus

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, driven, and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and community building efforts. You will report to the Social Media Director and will be working closely with the rest of the Creative team. This role requires regular weekend hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop relevant, original, high-quality social media content
  • Assist in carrying out our social media strategy
  • Actively engage the audience through private messaging responses, comments, likes
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Promote content through social advertising
  • Measure the success of social media posts and campaigns
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies
  • Use social media tools such as Buffer, Creator Studio
  • Collaborate with Video, Graphics and other Creative teams on various Social Media projects
  • Assist in strategically identifying and maintaining Social Media and Photo Team volunteers
  • Schedule volunteers in Planning Center
  • Cull through Photo Team photos and sermon transcriptions to develop future content
  • Define and track social media analytics

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Youtube, and other social media platforms
  • Experience with doing audience research
  • Good understanding of social media analytics
  • Photography experience recommended, but not required
  • Experience in Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere and/or Premiere Rush CC
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in Planning Center
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
