FAQ’S

Can my child request to be with their friends at camp?

Absolutely! We encourage every child to invite friends and will do our very best to make sure they are all on the same team and cabin.

What does my child do at camp?

Each day at camp is packed full of activities, games, small group team times, worship services, and late night activities. Camp is all about Jesus, friends, and fun! We want every child to grow in the relationship with Jesus, make tons of new friends, and have the most fun week of their summer!

Will my child be safe?

Yes! Safety is our top priority in WC Kids. Every child is assigned to a team with 2 adult leaders (background checked and trained). They do everything together as a team to make sure that every child feels connected and is having fun! Every activity, game, and worship experience is designed specifically to your child’s age group to ensure that they have the best possible experience at camp.

Where will my child be staying?

This year we are attending Camp Tejas, one of the premier Christian camps in Texas. Your child will be staying in a cabin, which consists of several bunk style beds and bathroom amenities. For additional information about Camp Tejas, click here.

Will there be a nurse at the camp?

Yes, we always bring 2 registered nurses to assist with handling medicine, food allergies, and any health concerns that arise at camp.

Do I need to drive my child to camp?

No, we provide transportation to and from Camp Tejas using buses through First Class Tours. First Class Tours is the premier transportation company in Houston and has an excellent reputation for their safety and excellence.

Can I volunteer at camp?

We are always looking for great volunteers to help us at camp. We do have a limited amount of volunteers that we are able to take to camp and first priority goes to the current volunteers serving in WC Kids on the weekend. If you are interested in volunteering, please email kids@wc.org.

Can I visit my child at camp?

We do not allow any visitors to come to camp. Every adult leader that is coming to camp is required to have an approved background check and complete several safety and training courses.

If you have questions regarding camp, please contact us at kids@wc.org.
