Super Summer Baptism 2016 from Woodlands Church on Vimeo.
Baptism is an important step in the life of a Christian. The New Testament teaches that new believers were baptized directly after they received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior; there was no delay.
Baptism is also an act of obedience to the command of Christ. It symbolizes the spiritual cleansing through divine forgiveness and newness of life experienced by believers by virtue of their identification with Christ in His death and resurrection.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and wish to take that all important next step by following His command to be baptized, register below and experience God’s life-changing power.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NASB)
As soon as you have personally placed your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Yes, your child can be baptized if he/she has personally placed his/her faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. We highly recommend children under age 12 speak with our Children's Pastor prior to their baptism.
Bring your baptism clothes to the service. Women/girls should wear shorts and a (non-white) top rather than a swimsuit, or a dark colored t-shirt that completely covers the swimsuit. Men/boys should wear a swimsuit or shorts, and a t-shirt. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag for your wet clothes.
No, you do not have to say a thing. We will call out your name to come into the baptism pool then take your photo. This photo and a signed certificate of baptism will be a part of the beautiful baptism folder we will send you after your baptism. One of our pastors/leaders will say a few words and briefly lower you to just below the surface of the water. You can then exit the baptism pool and watch as others celebrate their baptism.
Yes! If each family member understands fully the meaning of baptism, and each one has personally placed his/her trust in Christ for salvation, we encourage families to be baptized at the same time. Young children who wish to be baptized are asked to meet with our Children's Pastor for a pre-baptism conversation prior to being baptized.
