Social Media Specialist – full-time; Woodlands Campus

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, driven, and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and community-building efforts. You will report to the Social Media Director and will be working closely with the rest of the Creative team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop relevant, original, high-quality social media content for all of Woodlands Church and Kerry Shook Ministries social media accounts.
  • Assist in carrying out our social media strategy
  • Actively engage the audience through private messaging responses, comments, likes
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Promote content through social advertising
  • Measure the success of social media posts and campaigns
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies
  • Use social media tools such as Buffer, Creator Studio, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Collaborate with Video, Graphics and other Creative teams on various Social Media projects
  • Assist in strategically identifying and maintaining Social Media and Photo Team volunteers
  • Schedule volunteers in Planning Center
  • Cull through Photo Team photos and sermon transcriptions to develop future content
  • Define and track social media analytics

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Youtube, and other social media platforms
  • Experience with doing audience research
  • Good understanding of social media analytics
  • Photography experience recommended, but not required
  • Experience in Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere and/or Premiere Rush CC
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in Planning Center
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
